the problem.

the ask.

WiderNet is dedicated to improving digital education and communications for all communities and individuals around the world. WiderNet develops and distributes the eGranary Digital Library, a top-of-the-line plug-and-play server that provides instant access to millions of digital educational documents without the need of a connection to the Internet. However, despite their innovative technology, WiderNet is old school while their competitors are new school.

Craft a new brand purpose statement for Widernet to:

  • Expand current communication strategies.

  • Create a larger community of donors and volunteers.

the future.

Design an updated website.

1

The Why.

"The website looks very outdated"

"Very cluttered and not easy to navigate on a phone... Need a clearer way to tell us who you are quickly."

The How.

  • Include a visible donate button

  • Update icons and photography

  • Feature an impact map where users can track the regions their donations benefit

2

Establish a stronger social media presence.

The Why.

Currently Widernet is on several social media platforms, but does not have the audience engagement or community interaction that its competitors and similar organizations have through these channels.

The How.

  • Upload short videos

  • Post updates on communities’ uses of the eGranary

  • Share a look into what field workers are doing

  • Celebrate any good news that WiderNet has to share

3

Create a buzzworthy social giving campaign.

The Why.

As a 501(c)(3), WiderNet relies heavily on the donations of individuals and organizations.

  • Collaborate with International Education Week (IEW) to create a social giving campaign centered around improving international educational opportunities.
